This is a great trick for driving a decision to be made. The idea is instead of asking someone "should we, can we, can you confirm," start with "**this is the decision** that we will make please let me know if you disagree in X timeline." The **decision is never pending**, it's yes...unless it's no with the opportunity to change it in a prescribed amount of time.
