A tool to tame To Do list and routine length. A bracelet is like a checklist that you do in order from top to bottom, except when things are checked off from the top, they move to the bottom. This is why it's called a bracelet. It's like counting the beads one by one as you turn the bracelet around your wrist. The whole bracelet is one task no matter how many beads it has. These are also great for large recurring tasks that work better when you break them down. ![[Screenshot 2023-02-05 at 8.25.50 PM.png]] For example, instead of “create another episode of my YouTube show” make that a bracelet of all the steps involved in doing that. Write 20% of the script, set up the backdrop…Even the filming itself can be broken up. Now it's just another small task on your list. The other fun thing about a bracelet is that you don’t have to do only one item per day. Maybe you have motivation to do another. At the end of the day the bracelet is just there to help you move the item forwards. ![[notes.gif]] There's no app for this yet, so I use a little hack most Notes apps can do. 1. Make a folder for your notes. That's the bracelet. 2. Sort all items by oldest modified first. 3. Make a note for each item in the bracelet with a checkbox in front of the title. Note the checkbox here only functions to update the note thereby pushing it to the bottom. Whether it is checked or not doesn't matter.
